One of the most asked questions by hunters is "what's your success rate". I'd like to answer, by asking you the same thing. Have you taken a good representative animal from your area every year with a bow, could you do it in five days? We will give you the opportunity, success is up to you.

New Brunswick has a healthy population of bears, last years success rate, provincially was just over 50%. This of course includes rifle hunts as do most of the stats given by outfitters that are NOT BOW HUNTING ONLY,  Hunting trophy class BEARS anywhere with a BOW will lower your odds of success.  The success rate on P&Y bears in all of North America is only 12%, so try to keep things in perspective when planning your hunt.

Our success rate has stayed 20% higher than the provincial rate, and we only take BOW HUNTERS

We won't be trying to impress you with reams of backwoods knowledge on  black bear hunting. What we will present you with is, common sense on how to take a good animal. The success rate of any guide is based on two things, hard work and a client willing to put forth the effort.

- Since 1984 Chase Outfitters have taken 154 Pope and Young bears -
